A plot of land adjacent to our cooperative area — a common space, not for speculative purposes, which we take great care of — is about to be sold. There is a real risk that it will be bought by someone who could cut down the trees or exploit it in a predatory manner.

Our response

We decided to act together: the cooperative wants to acquire this land, not to own it, but to protect it. So that it can continue to be a place of regeneration, life and hope for future generations. 🌱

About the author

We are a Housing Cooperative in Collective Ownership , located in the municipality of Mafra — Colmeia 62. We want to live in a sustainable and humane way, cultivating a healthy lifestyle, in which we take care of the land, others and ourselves, based on love, joy and the rhythm of the collective , valuing time as the greatest human wealth .

The cooperative is developing an ecological ecovillage , energetically passive, respectful of nature, with social diversity and integrated into the local community network .

Currently, our project has approved construction licensing .

This project seeks alternative solutions to the challenges of modern society in relation to the protection of biodiversity and the strengthening of cooperation between human beings. In this logic, the Cooperative offers people who wish to voluntarily participate in this project the opportunity to become a Cooperator and participate in the project according to their possibilities and abilities.
