We intend to replace 10 normal beds with 10 articulated beds, as this brings more comfort to our elderly people.

The Social Solidarity Center of S. Jorge da Beira opened its doors on July 31, 1993, with the aim of meeting the social needs of an increasingly aging population in the most distant parish of the municipality, which is Covilhã.

Since it is an IPSS, it has been in existence for many years, it was and is necessary to innovate. Equipment was built from scratch and infrastructures that were in need of requalification were renovated, as it is necessary to replace obsolete material with new material to provide maximum comfort to the elderly who live there.

In this sense, 10 articulated beds are being acquired to meet the needs of the elderly and improve the quality of work of employees.

From a very young age, my ambition was to provide care/intervene with the elderly population. As soon as I graduated in Sociology and started working in the field, my desire was to start intervening in this sense.

I launched this cause with the aim of bringing more comfort and quality of life to the Social Solidarity Center of S. Jorge da Beira. Thus contributing to the organization's mission, to improving the working conditions of its employees and to improving the living conditions of the elderly it supports.

Let us all appeal to our sense of solidarity.
