In February I will climb Mount Kilimanjaro and by then I intend to raise €5,000 to support women in precarious employment situations in Tanzania! Any amount you can donate will be a huge help in changing the lives of many women!

This is a volunteer project that, now more than ever, needs everyone’s collaboration. In partnership with VSO (an international non-profit organization) and Randstad Global, this project aims to raise €100,000 by January 2025 to support 100 women in Tanzania — women between the ages of 18 and 35, who face conditions of extreme vulnerability.

I am the only participant from Portugal in a group of 20 volunteers from various countries, including France, Spain, the Netherlands and China. Each of us has the mission of raising €5,000 to help achieve this total goal, transforming the lives of these women and providing them with new opportunities and a more promising future.

Furthermore, in February 2025, we will climb Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa’s highest mountain) as a symbolic way of overcoming challenges and promoting the cause. It is important to note that all travel and accommodation costs are covered by the participants themselves and, in part, by Randstad, ensuring that 100% of the amount raised will go directly to supporting these women.

We know that despite all the progress, many women around the world still have no voice or opportunities. In less developed countries, this reality is even harsher. As a woman, I deeply believe that it is our collective responsibility to help other women have more choice, opportunities and a dignified life.

With your help, we will provide these women with:
● Access to education and professional training;
● Internship opportunities in private sector companies;
● Personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure your safety;
● Tools and materials that make your daily work easier;
● Fair wages and other essential initiatives.

Any amount you can contribute will be a help to these women!!

Uma mesa cheia de sonhos!! Ajuda a torná-los realidade!

About the author

Hello, I'm Leticia Pinto, I 'm 27 years old and I live on one of the most beautiful islands in Portugal (Madeira)!

So that you can get to know me a little better: I really enjoy being in contact with nature (it brings me a lot of peace), I love music and dancing (even if it's awkward :P), I really enjoy making cakes and cookies, I've always enjoyed imagining and I can even be considered naive (for believing in the good side of people).

Why am I participating in this volunteer project?
Because I would like to do something that has an impact and makes a difference in someone's life. I honestly think that we are all so focused on the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we can't stop to think about what we are doing and we can't do something with more meaning/impact.

So, I'm here, honestly asking for your support to make a difference in the lives of some women who might not otherwise have that opportunity.

Any amount you can donate will be a great help.

Apoiar as mulheres é apoiar as comunidades.

Budget and due dates

The goal is for each participant to raise €5,000 by January 2025.
In February 2025, we will go to Tanzania to deliver this amount and visit the communities/women that we will support with the amount raised.

Please note that all travel and accommodation costs are covered by the participants themselves and, in part, by Randstad. This ensures that 100% of the amount raised will be directly donated to support this charitable cause.

The amount raised will be used to:
Promote access to education and professional training;
Provide internship opportunities in private sector companies;
Acquire personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safer work;
Acquire tools and materials that make your daily work easier;
Promote the payment of fair wages, among other initiatives.
