Social entrepreneurship project, a Delta Cafés & MOVE partnership to empower local communities in the coffee sector.
What does it consist of?
In partnership with Delta Cafés and Efraim Café, the Impossible Coffees campaign aims to continue the history of coffee on the Roça de Monte Café in São Tomé and Príncipe. We seek to develop innovative and sustainable projects in the coffee industry, maintaining the tradition and passion that characterizes this community.
How?
As an NGO that believes in entrepreneurship as a tool for empowering people, MOVE volunteers will be on the field providing support in the areas of finance, marketing and operations to projects that present a business model with positive viability. To enable entrepreneurs to lead their businesses in a sustainable and 100% autonomous way in the future, MOVE has developed a framework and checklist of pre-defined activities within the scope of the MAKE program that will allow for an efficient and complete micro-consulting service.
What is the purpose?
The value of the program will be applied to specific costs for the dynamization of MOVE's activity on the ground in São Tomé and Príncipe, thus allowing a positive impact on the local economy and on all those who believe that it is possible to invest in coffee and trust their livelihood in this sector .

MOVE is a development NGO that believes in entrepreneurship as a tool for empowering people , families and communities in developing areas, with the purpose of generating stable incomes that break the cycles of poverty and social inequalities.
Over almost 15 years of experience in the fields where we work, we have developed a methodology based on 3 programs that guarantee support in the various phases of the development cycle of each entrepreneur, starting with the creation of the idea, moving on to the design of the business model throughout a training program, culminating in support through micro-consulting until the sustainability and independence of the business is achieved.
Our operations in São Tomé began in 2011 and, since then, we have been looking for partners to promote and boost local entrepreneurship that can serve as an example for those aspiring to create a successful business. Efraim Café , led by our alumni entrepreneur Catoninho, and Delta Cafés, with the Impossible Coffees campaign, are two major partners in the production, transformation and expansion of coffee culture , with their experience being key to the direct impact that MOVE generates on the field.

Budget and due dates
MOVE will promote specific training (MAKE) to strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs in São Tomé and Príncipe, with a total cost of €2,200 distributed in:
€2,000 - Operational expenses on the ground (e.g. office supplies, transport, etc.)
€200 - Fundraising costs
The consultancy period will begin in December 2024 and will last for a minimum of 6 months , which includes weekly monitoring of entrepreneurs in the different aspects of the business.
