Streetdogs – Animal Protection Association is an association made up of volunteers and is in charge of dozens of domestic animals that are in shelters or in temporary foster families, being responsible for ensuring their well-being at all levels, from feeding to veterinary care.

We intend to raise support to cover the high veterinary expenses resulting from various treatments carried out on sick animals and animals collected from the street which, in most cases, require quite expensive surgical interventions.

At the moment, on just 2 animals we have €1500 to settle: €1000 to settle Antónia's physiotherapy bill (which we have attached), a dog that was picked up with several fractures (one of them in the spine) and €500 to operate a kitten we just collected with a fractured femur. In addition to these, we also have veterinary expenses for the remaining animals collected.

Donations are the only way to support our expenses, so that we can continue to collect and save animals from the streets and/or in danger of death.

The amount we want to achieve does not pay off all the expenses we have pending, but it helps a lot to reduce them. When making your donation, we ask that you indicate your unconditional support , as this way, even if the objective is not achieved, the value reverts to the association.

We want to continue helping, we want to continue saving the lives of many animals, help us continue.

About the author

Streetdogs was born out of the need of a private individual who collected and sent abandoned animals for adoption, to give more visibility to these animals so that they could quickly find responsible families who would adopt them. From this need, the Streetdogs project was born, a page on the social network Facebook, to which other people joined. It began as an informal project by a group of people who collected, treated and sent abandoned animals for responsible adoption.

The project grew and in 2018 Streetdogs – Animal Protection Association was born.
Streetdogs – Animal Protection Association, is a non-profit entity, legally constituted and based in Barcelos. Within our possibilities, we collect, treat and place stray animals (dogs and cats) for adoption. We don't have physical space, we use temporary foster families or hotels to house the animals.
All of our work is done by volunteers and in partnership with some veterinary clinics that allow us to pay our debts in installments. We survive on donations, and this is how we support the expenses we have at the Association, so that we can continue to collect and save animals from the streets and/or in danger of death.

Budget and due dates

As soon as the Campaign ends and the funds are received, it will be immediately transferred to the veterinarian to settle the amount owed.
