Together creating happy stories!

Help us to take “Ajudaris Stories” to pediatricians in 10 hospitals!

Ajudaris develops several solidarity projects that contribute to social inclusion and integration through education and training. One of them is the "Stories of Ajudaris" project, which involves a diverse and wonderful collection of books written by young authors from various parts of the country and from Portuguese communities such as Switzerland, Germany, S. Tomé and Príncipe, among others.
These magical stories lead us to imagine, travel and immerse ourselves in an enchanting world thanks to the magic of the tale, in addition to the inspiring and colorful illustrations created by solidary illustrators who embrace the cause. We also wish to give due recognition to young authors, illustrators who participated in the preparation of these books, juries, teachers, educators, proofreaders, libraries, companies and the entire network of affections involved, more than 40 thousand people, without whom this project would never happen. Just imagine the happiness of the children who write these stories when they learn that their work of art is astonishing and bringing smiles to children admitted to hospitals in various parts of the country! Likewise, imagine the good time that hospitalized children can have when reading these stories and the enthusiasm they will feel when realizing that they can also join this adventure as co-authors of this project.

Since the objectives of sustainable development are a commitment of a society for the common good, we challenge the whole community to donate a collection of our books with the themes “Animals” and “If I were” to 10 hospitals. The Portuguese have demonstrated on several occasions that we are a solidary people and when we believe, we join hands and magic happens. Together creating happy stories, building relationships and helping those in need.

We, the reader of this campaign, ask for your collaboration to finance these storybooks and various colored sheets so that they can appear in a hospital in Portugal to provide many smiles and meaningful experiences to hospitalized children. Next to the books, a poster will also be placed with information on how children can also contribute, either by sending drawings or stories with the theme "Peace".

And, because we want you to be part of this story, we have a smile for everyone who will help make this dream come true! Studies indicate that reading to hospitalized children in a playful way benefits the well-being of children and their companions, providing emotional comfort to the child.

For this, we need you to send an email to geral@ajudaris.org, with proof of donation for this project as well as your data to receive your reward.

For those who donate 1 smile (1€), we send a “History of Ajudaris” by email to smile with the talent of young authors on a gray morning.

For those who donate 3 smiles (3€), we send a soap painted by children wrapped in a story.

For those who donate 5 smiles (5€), we send a notebook personalized by users of the institution to create their own story.

For those who donate 10 smiles (10€), we send a book from the collection of Histórias da Ajudaris books of your choice with postage included at https://www.ajudaris.org/site/products-page/ .

For every €10 increase we send you another book of “Stories of Ajudaris” of your choice so that you can also join in this mission of spreading stories with a special person!

About the author

AJUDARIS is a non-profit private social and humanitarian association of a national scope that fights daily against hunger, poverty and social exclusion through education and training in an informal context with children. We believe that education is the engine to transform lives! And, daily we are transforming small worlds!
It was founded in July 2008 and considered of Public Utility since October of the same year, although it is a Private Institution of Social Solidarity it does not have state financial protocols with Social Security, since it develops atypical social responses that meet the needs of children . Therefore, all work is carried out thanks to the support of friends and solidary partners who believe in our work and join forces daily to carry it out by donating their time, a financial donation or in kind.

Budget and due dates

The amount requested will be used to finance the acquisition of 100 books, 10 books for 10 hospitals in Porto, Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra, Santarém, Faro, Viseu, Vila Real, Aveiro, Viana do Castelo and Guarda, as well as the logistics of sending, the printing of colored sheets and the poster that follow with the 10 books. By contributing to this project, you will share smiles with children in different paediatrics in the country, give deserved recognition to young authors and to the supportive teachers and educators who guided them to contribute to literacy.

The campaign to raise awareness of friends to embrace this cause will run until May 25th;

From the 26th to the 31st of May: management and implementation

June 1st: delivery of books to hospitals.

We will post images of the delivery of books to different hospitals on social media to smile with the stories that will emerge.
