Good morning!
My name is Cecilia and I'm 32 years old.
At the beginning of 2021, my boyfriend and I decided that it was the right moment in our lives to become parents and so we consulted doctors, did tests and everything was fine with us, so we started our attempts. Unfortunately 1 year later (2022) we still hadn't achieved our dream and so we turned to doctors again and that's when they sent us to the Hospital de Guimarães and after some specific tests we discovered that our failure was due to the fact that I had Endometriosis .
Because Endometriosis is a chronic disease that apparently affects about 10% of women and causes, in addition to infertility, a lot of pain during menstruation, among other symptoms. I've never had major symptoms, other than period pains and I always thought it was normal, but apparently it's not :(
I was referred to surgery, where they removed all the outbreaks of endometriosis that they could and also removed one of my tubes because it was already in a very bad state!
We were then referred to an IVF (in vitro fertilization) to get our much desired positive, we are very happy to have an opportunity. Unfortunately, the waiting time is 1 year and the costs are very high and unfortunately we don't have that money.
We would love for you to help us make our dream come true and have a positive hope in life again!

In 2022 I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and since then our life has been a constant struggle between surgery and exams and consultations and a lot of hope that we can be parents! After 2 years between consultations and treatments and surgery, in order to move on to the last treatment for IVF and to be able to achieve our so dreamed positive, we will have to wait another year, of anguish, anxiety and hope too of course. And after getting in touch with a clinic in our area of residence, we realized that we could achieve it faster and improve our emotional state as well.
