We are Petit Papão, a startup of organic infant food focused on developing complete and tasty meals that respect every stage of the baby’s development. We intend to raise € 5,000 to acquire professional kitchen equipment.
As parents, we always want to provide our children with a complete, varied and balanced diet so that they have a happy and healthy growth. However, we know that the pace of the daily routine and the lack of time make it difficult to organize and prepare adequate meals every day.
Inspired by this scenario, we created Petit Papão®, a startup with a new perspective on infant food, to help parents nourish their baby and educate their palate from the first spoonful.
We designed a line of organic and seasonal meals, specific to each stage of baby/child development from 4 month to 5 years. These are healthy and safe products, which comply with all the hygiene and safety standards inherent to HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point).
These are high-quality meals with low salt and sugar content (no addition in products intended for infants up to 12 months) and adequate regarding energy and macronutrients, taking into account the recommendations issued by the main authorities in the field of infant nutrition in Portugal.
Aiming to be practical for the parents, and because children are such a sensitive public, we’ve opted for a deep-freezing method to preserve our products, an absolutely effective method for preserving food safety, maintaining the nutritional properties, color, appearance, taste and texture of food.
With this campaign, we intend to raise up to € 5,000 to complete our production process and acquire a professional deep-freezing equipment.
The advertising of our products is made through our website - petitpapao.pt - and facebook page - Petit Papão Bio. By completing our production process, you will be able to order the meals that best meet your child's needs and schedule delivery at your doorstep or at work (Porto region only).
We want to reach all families, even those in need. Therefore, and thinking about these children and their institutions, we will donate a kilo of fresh food for every kilo of meals sold.
Contribute and check out our rewards system to learn what you can gain by helping Petit Papão®.
Refeições completas, equilibradas e nutritivas.
About the author
Ines Neves and Diogo Cunha, parents of twins. Mentors and Promoters of Petit Papão.
Being parents has changed the way we live, feel and look around the table! This willingness to take real food to the children was born during the pregnancy when we began to be more careful with the way we fed ourselves.
Inês is a Post-Graduate Communication Designer, and Diogo is an Advertising Consultant with a background in Business Management.
We have an experience in design, management, marketing and communication of more than 10 years in multinational agencies based in Portugal and Brazil. And it was based on our vision of the market and the challenges that people with the same rhythm of life face to give the best possible food to their children, that we decided to do something to be an active part in the change that we would like to see in the world.
We feel that food is, above all, an act of love, and eating, rather than a nutritional contribution, represents moments of sharing, building affective memories, learning and transmitting values for a lifetime. As such, we realize that feeding children is not a bogeyman and that every stage of food diversification can - and should - be a happy and constructive experience.
Being parents allows us to know this universe firsthand, understanding their needs, their difficulties, their demands and their successes day after day. This experience enables us to help create an intimate, healthy and happy relationship between the baby, the food and the world around.

Budget and due dates
With this crowdfunding campaign, we aim to raise a minimum of € 5,000 to finalize the production process and purchase professional deep-freezing equipment.
Thanks to the contribution of the EDP Foundation, half of this amount has already been allocated, but the campaign will only succeed if we can raise the same amount in contributions.
Our first stage is achieved if we reach the goal of € 5,000, but if we exceed this amount we will move forward to the following challenges to help Petit Papão reach as many children as possible:
- € 5,000 - Acquisition of professional deep freezing machine and certification of the production process
- € 10,000 - Delivery and e-commerce app development
- € 15,000 - Creation and production of a sales stand in a Shopping Center
- € 20,000 - Expansion of the distribution network to the city of Aveiro.
We know that to go further, we can not go alone.
Join us, contribute, spread the word about Petit Papão® and feed with affection.
