The forest

The Forest is a game of seduction and terror. A short film that aims to explore distance as a central theme, in which the characters struggle to survive in a forest shrouded in mystery.

Synopsis

Artur and Beatriz are a couple living in a decadent relationship. They decide to spend a few days in a forest in order to improve their relationship, when a mysterious woman dressed in white appears and threatens to end the relationship for good. Artur becomes involved in a game of seduction and terror and while he struggles to find himself, Beatriz struggles to survive.

Director's note of intent

With this film, the director proposes to explore a decadent relationship in a game of seduction and terror. The relationship is pushed to the limit through the outer strength of a mysterious woman. This woman arouses curiosity in Artur, causing his relationship with Beatriz to disperse. Artur and Beatriz are opposites that no longer attract.
Distance is treated as a central block in this mystery where Arthur struggles to find himself.

A Floresta is a short film made as part of the final project of the Master in Audiovisual Communication, from the Escola Superior de Media Artes e Design do Politécnico do Porto (Esmad).

Our team is made up of students and alumni of Esmad and Esmae.
