The 1st edition of DOC.COIMBRA - International Documentary Festival will take place from March 6th to 10th of March and needs your help to provide an unforgettable experience for documentary lovers!
DOC.COIMBRA is a documentary film festival that shows films that reflect on important issues for society. Held in the city of Coimbra, the festival attracts filmmakers, students and film enthusiasts, providing a platform to screen relevant films and promote enriching debates.

About the author
The Doc.Coimbra Cultural Association was created in 2023 with the aim of promoting the exhibition and discussion of documentaries in the city of Coimbra, and holding an annual edition of the Doc.Coimbra film festival.
Doc. Coimbra is directed by Leandro Cordeiro, director and audiovisual producer, who has lived in Coimbra since 2018, and who initiated and created the festival. Also producing the festival is Jonas Amarante, director and producer, with experience in producing other film festivals.
Budget and due dates
Simplified budget:
The crowdfunding campaign is just a part of what we need from the festival's total budget, which has already been raised through film registrations and will still have one more source of revenue in the sale of tickets and festival items.
From the amount stipulated for the campaign we will use it as follows:
Total Value: €1800
PPL commission: €166.05
Rewards production: €433.95
Food, transport and accommodation for guests: €800
Promotional material: €400
Calendar:
After the film registration period, which took place at the end of 2023, the curation team selected the films they considered most relevant to be shown at the festival. 21 documentaries, including shorts and features, were selected, which will be shown during the 5 days of the festival.
