Composting everywhere is an expansion project of Composting School! Let's make the composting movement and the organic gardens reach the whole country!
Escola a Compostar is having a GIANT success and we want to take the in-person sessions all over the country!
Escola a Compostar is an initiative of Zero Waste Lab, Mudatuga and Hortas Lx, which is promoting free sessions on composting for anyone interested in Portugal, with virtual and face-to-face moments. This initiative is financed by the Environmental Fund. You can find out more about the initiative through the website https://www.escolaacompostar.pt/
It is worth remembering that up to half of the waste produced in homes has the power to become fertile compost for soil regeneration. And we can all contribute!
At the moment, and on a pilot basis, the face-to-face sessions are restricted to Lisbon.
We found, however, a very strong demonstration of interest by people spread across the country, which motivates us to offer the in-person session in various locations throughout the country. More than a thousand people enrolled at the School, but many of them are not able to attend the in-person sessions, as we only have the budget to hold them in Lisbon.
This campaign appears as a way to expand the reach of Escola a Compostar, taking it to other locations and spreading the word and action of composting throughout the country!
Our motto is to totally democratize the theme - we want composting to reach many urban centers, contributing with face-to-face sessions in Coimbra, Porto, Faro, Braga, Castelo Branco, ... or wherever there is greater demand. We will conduct an online poll later to find out where there is the most demand. In addition, we plan to open more classes online to keep the movement well motivated! For this to happen, we need your help!
With the financial contribution of each one, according to their possibility, and with a strong impulse in word of mouth, we will be able to take our knowledge and transforming energy to more places.
If we exceed the proposed amount, this amount will be used to reach more places in the country! Just imagine what a difference a proactive composting society can make!
Contribute now to Escola a Compostar and help us go further! Press the button and let's do it :)
About the author
Zero Waste Lab is a non-profit association, founded in 2017, with the mission to promote the Zero Waste concept and actively contribute to the transition to a future without waste. It takes zero waste as a philosophy, inspired by nature's ability to transform what does not serve one as food for the other, which means going beyond minimizing the negative impact and mitigating the production of waste. It seeks a regenerative participation with a positive legacy, with a strong commitment to quality relationships, in order to mobilize a chain of impact movement. Zero Waste Lab works preferably in a network, in the long term and with communities, empowering the various movements and entrepreneurs who share its vision and goals.
