Challenge: hike portugal north to south. Goal: raise funds for operação nariz vermelho.
This year I decided to hike in Portugal, a personal challenge I wanted to achieve after reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed, an American girl who decided to hike the Pacific Crest Trail in the US by herself and also Portugal on Foot by Nuno Ferreira, a Portuguese young man who had the guts to hike through Portugal, also by himself.
Because this is such a big challenge, I decided to do this for a noble cause and raise funds for Operação Nariz Vermelho (ONV), a Portuguese charitable organization, with a mission to bring joy to hospitalized children and their families through the art and image of the Doctor Clown.
This commitment of helping this cause isn’t new to me, I jumped from an airplane with a red nose last year also to raise funds for Operação Nariz Vermelho and for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity in the UK.

Melgaço, Monção, Valença, Rubiães, Ponte de Lima, Goães, Braga, Guimarães, Santo Tirso, Porto, Lourosa, São João da Madeira, Oliveira de Azeméis, Albergaria-a-Velha, Águeda, Anadia, Mealhada, Coimbra, Cernache, Rabaçal, Ansião, Alvaiázere, Tomar, Golegã, Santarém, Salvaterra de Magos, Benavente, Samora Correia, Alcochete, Pinhal Novo, Setúbal, Comporta, Melides, Santiago do Cacém, Cercal, São Luís, Odemira, São Teotónio, Odeceixe, Aljezur, Bensafrim, Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira, Almancil, Faro.
