Associação Obrigado Portugal is an association of solidarity and non-profit. This solidarity aims to support poor people in Portugal and around the world, including children, the elderly and people with special needs. This association has also implemented several projects in Nepal and is at the moment ongoing Our Dream Village Project.

Associação Obrigado Portugal  is an association of solidarity and non-profit. This solidarity aims to support poor people in Portugal and around the world, including children, the elderly and people with special needs.

This association has also implemented several projects in Nepal and is at the moment ongoing Our Dream Village Project.

The objective of this project involves the construction of 222 houses, 1 school and 1 hospital in Tatopani, Sindhpalchowk district, Nepal. This region was greatly affected by the earthquake of 25 April, where many of its inhabitants were displaced. Of the total 1181 people left homeless, about 350 live in Hope Field in Kathmandu.

In addition to the construction of the houses, it is necessary to develop solutions to address the problem of access, agriculture, water supply and provide sources of income for the population in the future.

In a first phase, between July and December 2015, the Association Thank Portugal participated in the project through volunteer work.

Hello everyone!

My name is Pedro Bento and I am sport Superior technician in the Town Hall of Almeirim. I am a mountain bike athlete for over 16 years and already have some experience in events of this kind. I have taken part: the Ruta de los Conquistadores in Costa Rica; BC Bike Race in Canada; Ironbike in Italy and more recently in TransAndes in Chile. This year my participation in the world's highest proof, Yack atack 5400m altitude, will try to raise funds to help build a village for the thousands of people affected by the earthquake of 7.5 on the Richter scale.

Due to my experience in events of this kind and beyond, this year would finish the race and at the same time to help those who really need.

With the help and support of the Association Thank Portugal, I try to help someone who deserves our respect for the struggle that has waged against a very difficult situation.

 Given that the Associação Obrigado Portugal, develops various charity projects in Nepal, and taking into account that my proof will be in Nepal decided to do something that would help the Association which also makes both those who need it most.

Budget and due dates

The goal is to raise 500€ to be able to help in the amount of a home that has an approximate cost of 12,000€

The money will revert entirely in favor of the Association Thank Portugal for the project Our Dream Village!

Costs with the commission of 5% of PPL + VAT. The PPL charges 5% of angariada amount, only if you can raise the entire amount requested. Otherwise, it has no cost and no money raised is returned to the supporters. The amount of any commission, plus VAT at the rate of 23%. For example: For a loan of EUR 500 the fee is 25 EUR + VAT, ie 30.75€.
