This initiative aims to raise funds to offer the athlete João Paulo Ribeiro carrying a motor disability a bike adapted so you can start another competition.

This project has a very specific purpose, which is to buy a bicycle adapted for João Paulo Ribeiro.

Who is João Paulo Ribeiro?

João Paulol is a young man of 33, live in Ponte de Lima, who after an accident at age 16 was pushed to a wheelchair, but he lowered his arms!

João saw in sport will continue to fight, regardless of their physical condition.

In 2007 he began in adapted sports, starting in the team ADMB (associação de deficientes motores de Barcelos), and to this day it has not stopped.

Handball and basketball until 2011/2012, had two appearances in National Championships Finals where they lost both.

In 2012/2013, won BCR National Championship and won BCR Portugal Cup too. In Handball 4 and 7 won the two cups Portugal in dispute.

2013/2014, were 3rd in the National League, and were the final half of the Portugal Cup BCR. In Handball won the National Championships of 4 and 7 and won the Portugal glasses also 4 and 7.

2014 2015, were 2nd in the BCR National Championship with the same points as the 1st. Portugal won the Cup of BCR.

In Handball were vice national champions Championship 4 and 07 and also the glasses 4 and 7.e

With regard to my career in rowing, I started this mode in June 2014, until then had never had contact with water sports.

Here is a short summary of his sporting career:

On January 3, 2015 had the first race New Year 2015 which won in Viana do Castelo.

On May 11, 2015 participated in the National Indoor Championships in rowing and ranked second.

On May 17 he participated in the XXXV International Sailing Gondomar and ranked third.

May 30 participated in the X International Regatta Cup Litocar Manuel Lino in Montemor-o-Velho  and ranked second.

July 5 in Speed National Championships were crowned national champion speed in Montemor-o-Velho.

The January 16, 2016 in Vila do Conde has won the National Indoor Rowing Champion.

João currently practicing handball and basketball at the municipal pavilion Ferreiros-Baga, and rowing in Viana do Castelo, and the next abejetivo is cycling, objective for can no longer achieve, because the bike for the sport has a cost of order of 5,000€.

João is a winner and deserves all the help!

Budget and due dates

The budget for the purchase of bicycle adapted to João condition costs about 5,000€, but I ask more about 300€ to the inherent to this application expenses. I propose also 2 months (60 days).
