Music producer BirdzZie (João Meira) was submitted to a heart transplant last June, and now all the help we can get is more than welcome to cover all costs and expenses and reduce the risks.
Portuguese producer and beatmaker, BirdzZie (João Meira) has a global soul. For more than fifteen years he has tried to integrate his earliest sonic references – the regional and traditional folk from Alentejo — with more contemporary sounds, both experimental and electronic.
On May 2022, João was hospitalized with a severe pneumonia at Hospital de Santa Marta (Lisbon), where he ended up needing an urgent heart transplant. Luckily the surgery was a success!
Due to the overcrowding in Portuguese public hospitals, a dantesque bill from a private institution is now in the hands of the producer and his dear ones, unable to cover all this expenses and guarantee his dignified return to daily life.
All of the amount from this campaign will go to João’s recovery: first, to eliminate the debt from his first hospital expense; and all the extra amount that you may offer – more than necessary for an efficient recovery – will support the huge bills that the producer will have in the future and all costs associated with its recovery.
