Nine Grannies do not want to stop participating in the activities of the A Grandma came to work initiative. All of them want to be adopted by a new grandson or granddaughter in order to grow old.
They are Grannies, dreamers and rolled up their sleeves to find your well-being. Now they need your help.
Isabel, Rosa, Clara, Alice, Gracinda, Teresa, Júlia, Fátima and Luísa are 9 of the more than 70 Grandparents of the A Grandmother came to work. They looked for the project at different times, but with the same purpose - the desire to feel valued.
Isabel, one of the most modern of the group, can't do without riding her bike, dancing and posing for the cameras.
Rosa is the youngest of the group. Shy and with few speeches, she clings to crochet like no one else and around the middle she starts to laugh.
Clara does not give up her independence and sews with her eyes closed. Curious by nature, she wants to learn everything and do a little bit of everything.
Alice was born to be a diva. As a child, she dreamed of being a dancer at the National Theater of São Carlos. In the project A Avó came to work, she found the stage she has been looking for for years.
Gracinda is the “Maria does it all”. She loves to teach what she knows and almost never sleeps because of so much embroidery, crochet or knitting.
Teresa is the group's breath of fresh air and the living example that at 77 years of age it is not too late to date.
Julia is perfection in person. What he does, he does it well and he loves to share with his grandparents tips on this know-how.
Fátima is the smallest of them all and makes arraiolos like no one else. Whenever he can, he flees to Earth to recharge his batteries.
Luísa retired with the will to continue working. It was in the project that he found the possibility of continuing to do so.
They've already taught, showed up through advertising campaigns, embroidered lovers' handkerchiefs and even tried tufting. They want to continue to be productive, have access to transformative experiences and dream. For this, the crowdfunding campaign “Adopt a Grandmother. Adopt to empower”, an attempt to enable the 9 Grandmothers to attend the project activities for another 1 year.
The model is simple: those who want to contribute only have to choose one of the reward levels and thus show all their love for their grandmother. Anyone who wants to, of course, can always opt for free donation.
Going shopping with Grandma is always a way to support the project! From Christmas snowflakes, to plaited rugs, silkscreened pillows or kits for embroidery on photography, this 100% national project has already proved its creativity and it's all in the online store - www.fermenta.org
A Avó Veio Trabalhar
A Avó veio trabalhar
