The Academic Race , virtual in its 1st edition, is an event that aims to break the stigma and aura existing in the academic world to which its events are related to the famous phrase "events with alcohol mixed". It is a 10 km race in virtual format, to be held in the months of April and May, culminating in a cultural spectacle (closing gala), in streaming, where the intention is to reward the winners.
It is an event aimed at all people of all ages, who are related to the academic world, who are interested in sports or just want to be part of a noble cause.
At the closing gala, it is intended to unite these 3 worlds, involving tuning music, comedy, sports and much more, where the profit from the entire event will accrue to the Association of Social Services of the Firefighters Regiment.
Mission - We seek to break the stigma and aura existing in the academic world to which its events relate to the famous phrase "events with alcohol mixed" combining health and well-being in sports, with the academic student culture.
Vision - We intend to create an event where all participants know, learn and experience cultural and sporting experiences in one place. Within 5 years, we want to be recognized as one of the great academic events of the year and it is also our intention to place the Academic Race on the national map of the best medium distance races in the country.
About the author
We are students of the Higher School of Hospitality and Tourism of Estoril. We are attending the 3rd year of the degree in Leisure Management and Tourism Entertainment, within the scope of this degree we were asked to hold a final course event. However, we do not have any financial support available for these projects.

Ana Sofia Oliveira , 22, responsible for the Cultural Department. Ana likes to go scuba diving in her spare time and constantly follow the news of the Tunante world. A lover of Portuguese music, she likes new challenges, so she decided to join this project.
Tiago Arsénio , 33, responsible for the Logistics Department. Tiago, lover of extreme sports never turns his back on a new adventure, organizer of sporting events for over 10 years, sees in the Academic Race, the solidarity event of choice. He believes that all battles have an end and that the end only comes if you fight.
Ricardo Maçãs , 21, head of the Finance Department. Passionate about sport, a visit to the gym is not to be missed. Fantastic aptitude for numbers, so he decided to embrace the financial aspect of this event. Ricardo, reviews the values of solidarity and companionship that he values so much present in this project.
Tomé Fernandes , 25, responsible for the Sports Department. Regular surfers and when there are no waves it is in their nature walks that they find peace. For several years he was present at the assembly of large-scale events. He embraced this event as it is the perfect combination between his areas of interest.
Ariana Almeida , 21, responsible for the Marketing and Communication Department.
Lover of sport and academic tradition, being part of the tuning world, as a member of "Tunística" (Mixed Tuna from ESHTE).
He decided to embrace this project with all his will, as he believes that tradition and culture prevail against all obstacles.
Budget and due dates

Closing gala: May 27, 2021
The amount of € 1150 is intended to cover the following expenses:
€ 250.00 - Digital Platforms (to show your presence in the race, you need a registration platform, with associated costs, which this value intends to cover, as well as the creation of a website, where information and updates about the event will be exposed );
€ 300.00 - Food (on May 27, at the closing Gala, we have several tuning shows and other performances. With this amount we intend to feed everyone on the day of streaming);
€ 600.00 - Audiovisuals (on May 27, at the closing Gala, the show lacks specialized material and human resources for live-stream transmission, this amount will serve to top off this expense).
The final amount requested is crucial for the realization of this event, as without this support it will not be possible to fulfill our goal of helping the Association of Social Services of the Firefighters Regiment. In case we exceed our goal, the entire amount will be reverted to this association.
