Building Horizons in Sao Tome - PAE and S. Nicolau

Help us support children with mental and/or motor disabilities and renovate a community kitchen in São Tomé and Príncipe. Your gesture will make all the difference!

Help us implement 4 actions in São Tomé and Príncipe!

This year we have 4 main objectives:

• Renovation of the kitchen at the São Nicolau daycare center
• First aid kit for the São Nicolau community
• 10 wheelchairs for children with disabilities (PAE project)
• 25 baskets of essential goods for families of children with mental and/or motor disabilities (PAE project)

Construir Horizontes em São Tomé - PAE e S. Nicolau

Details:

First Aid Kit will be delivered to the community of São Nicolau, which is isolated and difficult to access, far from basic medical care.

• Wound care supplies (compresses, bandages, cotton, medical tape, saline solution, scissors, tweezers and band-aids)
• Antiseptics (Alcohol, hydrogen peroxide and betadine)
• Emergency equipment (gloves, masks, thermometer and blood pressure monitor)
• Basic medications (analgesics e.g. paracetamol, ibuprofen; anti-allergens/antihistamines e.g. cetirizine; antibiotic ointments e.g. bacitracin, gels or creams specifically for burns).

The baskets of essential goods will be delivered to 25 families with children who have mental and/or motor disabilities (PAE project - Special Godparents and Godchildren).

• Rice, pasta, beans, chickpeas, milk, vegetable oil, sugar and soap.
• Diapers and baby food (for children who need it)

The wheelchairs will be delivered to children with mental and/or motor disabilities (PAE project - Special Godparents and Godchildren)

• 6 wheelchairs (at least two with headrests)
• 4 strollers for children

Finally, the kitchen at the São Nicolau daycare center, which requires repairs to the space and the provision of basic equipment to help prepare food for the daycare children (approximately 20 children aged 0 to 5 years old).

• Kitchen repair materials (wood, sheets and paints)
• Countertop, sink/dishwasher, faucet, stove/oven, kitchen utensils (soup blender, others) and lighting
