No dia 28 de Janeiro a Tempestade Kristin que assolou a Região Centro do País, provocou danos gravissímos no Quartel dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Pedrógão Grande, causando muitos condicionalismos nas condições de operacionalidade, bem como o bem estar dos operacionais.
Os danos afetaram a cobertura parcial do quartel, destruindo totalmente a Antena das Telecomunicações, logo o seu interior pela ação da chuva nos dias seguintes, foi afetado gravemente afetado, nomeadamente as Camaratas (masculinas e femininas), Salas de Vestuários (também masculinos e femininos), sala de convívio do bombeiro, destruíndo mobiliário e eletrodomésticos, o gabinete do Comandante e a Secretaria da Direção, onde foram afetados os equipamentos informáticos e alguma documentação.

On January 28, 2026, Storm Kristin struck the country’s Central Region, causing severe damage to the Pedrógão Grande Volunteer Firefighters’ headquarters. This devastation has significantly compromised operational capacity and directly impacted the well-being of our personnel.
Part of the building’s roof was torn away, and the telecommunications antenna was completely destroyed. In the days that followed, heavy rain further damaged the interior, severely affecting essential areas such as the male and female dormitories, changing rooms, and the firefighters’ common room—where furniture and appliances were lost. The Commander’s office and the Administration Office were also impacted, with damage to computer equipment and important documentation.
The Pedrógão Grande Volunteer Firefighters are now urgently seeking support to restore the headquarters to full working condition. At present, the Association does not have the financial means to recover from this situation alone. Your support is vital to help us rebuild and continue providing critical emergency services to those in need.
