"Siesta Club" is a short film, made by 3rd year students of the Cinema, VÍdeo e Comunicação Multimédia course, at the Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, in Lisbon.
Exhaust crackles echo across the desert plain. Three boys kill time in a field with dust in their eyes. They visit the imaginary of tattooed emperors and meet a girl at a gas station. They want to conquer time and reach the top of the world.
"Siesta Club" is a film about youth, freedom and friendship. Alex, Pedro and Tiago represent our generation of young people, uneasy with their routine, full of adrenaline and who are looking for more; they feel that something is not right, not quite understanding what is right, they want to scream from the bottom of their lungs, run away on their motorbikes and violently seize the top of the world.
As this project is being developed in an academic context, we do not have any funding to make our film as it deserves to be done. We want to finish our degree in the best possible way, having created this PPL campaign so that you can help us make this film, for which we worked so hard and continue to work everyday.
