O Sarilho is a comic in which an alien gets shot in the face four times and for some reason that starts a war!

A satellite crashed in Lusitania, in enemy territory. A small team is sent on a mission to recover it... But when they arrive, they soon discover that the satellite was not the only thing that crashed in Arouca after all. And that other thing – whatever it is – is alive.

This is a crowdfunding campaign to fund O Sarilho's fourth book, which includes chapters seven and eight: PASO DOBLE and Fight&Flight.
Chapter seven, PASO DOBLE, reintroduces the Meditan side of the conflict and how they adapted (or not) after two years of an unfruitful war with neighboring Lusitania. With the wreckage of the satellite that caused this mess yet to be recovered, the war is far from being a popular topic in the Meditan Empire - only attracting the interest of those who want to see their name in History and painted in blood.
In the eighth chapter, Fight & Flight, the Foreigner - the alien creature that crashed two years ago in Arouca - has his own goals, which may or may not overlap those of the humans around him. And if these objectives, in the long term, seem to be for the benefit of Humanity, it is difficult to know what could get sacrificed in the short term... And, along the way, he still has to deal with the horrible consequences of a war he is a stranger to.

O Sarilho is a webcomic and, as such, can be read online for free at https://sarilho.net/en/. These chapters have been and will be published from January 2023 to December 2025. The eighth chapter is currently being released once page a week at the website, but the printed format will also feature several yet to be published pages.
And for those who don't know the story yet, the previous volumes will also be included in the rewards :)

Although O Sarilho was first conceived for digital media, we cannot ignore the value of having things in physical format: hence the importance of making the leap to print! Since independent publishing is still a laborious and expensive process, this campaign is exclusively intended to raise funds to print as many copies as possible. After all, we need to spread the story to every corner of the country to reach all those comic book lovers out there!
Tell me about those rewards!
The rewards are organized as follows:
- The postal package includes 4 postcards and 1 bookmark.
- The PDF package includes the entire story thus far, with extras (total of 8 PDFs).
- The book package includes all four books, the PDF package and the postal package.
- Each previous book can be bought indivudually or alongside another reward (by adding 22€ to the tier's value).
Stretch Goals
Since the campaign is now funded, let's think of the future. Let's think about what happens if the campaign reaches certain thresholds. Some stretch goals, one could say. Well, if the campaign were to reach those values, any supporter who'd so wish would be able to get some EXTRA rewards, at no additional costs, namely:
- At 2400€, a new lore booklet on O Sarilho's wordlbuilding, on the topic of AUGURY!
- At 3000€, an acrylic standee with Miguel on it.
- At 4000€, a metallic pin featuring the Augury Offices logo (topic of the year, amirite?).
Questions:
What's the language of the books?
The books will be printed in both Portuguese and English. When the campaign ends, you will receive a form that allows you to chose the version you prefer.
And what about the shipping?
Shipping costs are included in the value of each reward, so you must choose whether you want it sent to Portugal or abroad.
What if I want the fourth volume and another one (e.g. the second one)?
You can support the campaign twice (there is an option only for Other Volumes), or increase the contribution amount by that amount.

Os fundos estão a caminho e deverão chegar muito em breve, pelo que a próxima fase do meu trabalho está quase aí: imprimir muitos livros! Porém, antes que me possa dedicar a essa tarefa, preciso de alguma informação da vossa parte. Preciso de ter a certeza do mínimo de cópias em cada língua necessárias para cobrir as encomendas da campanha, e saber também quem pretende receber que objectivos adicionais. Como a campanha correu muito melhor do que previa, não só vou poder imprimir mais cópias do volume 4 que as que tinha planeado, mas também report stock dos volumes anteriores (que neste momento mal chegam para cobrir as encomendas da campanha). Adicionalmente, há também que tratar das recompensas extra, uma vez que são efectivamente conteúdos adicionais que terei de criar de propósito para vos mandar.
Já os livros, tenho os materiais terminados e testados há bons tempos, é só mandar para produção. Gostava de ter isso pronto até ao final do mês, por isso vamos ver no que dá (porém não escrevam isto na pedra, é mais um desejo que um objectivo).

I have had time to eat and rest, and now it's time for an announcement...
The campaign funds and on their way (to meeeee) and shall arrive soon, so the next stage of my work may soon be starting: printing those books! However, and before I can start with that task, I need some additional information from you. In order to make the minimum amount of copies of each book I need to have to fulfill the campaign rewards, I ask you kindly to check and fill the form in this link: https://forms.gle/51UhP3xCSnGxa8Gw5 . There, you'll be able to specify which version of the books you wish to receive, share details about the delivery, and select which additional rewards you want.
Since the campaign went a lot better than expected, I will be able to print more copies of volume 4 than initially envisioned and restock the previous volumes (I don't think I can fulfill the rewards on my current stock...). The extra rewards will also take me a little time to put together and order, and the augury booklet needs to be done from scratch.
However, I have the book materials pretty much finished and ready to get printed. I would love to have that done by the end of the month, so we'll see how that goes (but do not write this one in stone, it's a goal, not a solid plan, things happen).

A campanha O Sarilho: Um 4º volume de banda desenhada! reuniu todo o apoio necessário, graças a vocês! 95 apoiantes, o que é mais que da ´´ultima vez!
O objectivo inicial era 2000 € e atingimos os 4025€ :) Isto chega para imprimir muitos livros, muitos livretos, muitas estatuetas em acrílico e ainda o cobiçado pin dourado. Nada disto seria possível sem vocês e vosso apoio e os vossos comentários carinhosos. E obrigado também a todos os que espalharam a notícia da campanha aos seus amigos, provando mais uma vez que isto da divulgação orgânica tem muito que se lhe diga.
Receberão, por este canal e provavelmente também por email, um formulário para poderem especificar quais as recompensas que querem e quais as versões dos livros. We went from the initial goal of 2000€ to over 4000€ :) This is gonna be used to print many many books, many booklets, so many acrylic standees and the coveted golden pin. None of this would be possible without you and your support and your many kind comments. Thank you all who shared the news on your social medias, proving once more that organic reach is a beast to be feared.
You will receive later, through this channel and via email, a form in which you can state which of the additional rewards you wish to receive, language of the books, specify your address and other things. I expect to be able to tend to it during the weekend. A lot less shouting about O Sarilho in the horizon for now, but a lot more work for me in the backstage.
