Hello People, welcome to Be Equal.
BE EQUAL is equality promotion project. Talking about serious matters, in a dynamic and fun way, we try to transmit and develop in our young people the idea of respect for difference. Our content is the result of the efforts and creativity of alumni, students \ and professors of the School anda Education Psychology Master's from the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI) in combating inequality and discrimination. The "Be Equal" will focus on creating and promoting equality covering topics like gender equality, racial, social discrimination, and the discrimination of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender comunity and seniors. Also we promote the psychological adjustment through individual or group interventions focused on different problems, as well as conducting workshops and formations open to the entire community.
For this we use Youtube, through a weekly broadcast program to be presented important news for the issues concerned (BUZZ), as well as opinion videos or clarification on the same theme with the participation of guests and creating interactive debates (Conversation in the Beehive).
The aim is to create such programs using as a basis the knowledge in psychology trying that these are transmitted in an appealing and dynamic way, trying to rebuild previously established ideas and develop a critical sense. In addition to the Youtube channel this project has multiple branches one being the creation of intervention plans to be used in small and large groups as mentioned above.
These plans would consist of a preliminary assessment of the group's needs and the development of the sessions. The interventions could also be accompanied by lectures on various topics using the feature videos previously mentioned.
