Our face is extraordinary. It is our natural greeting card, transmit emotions, impressions and informations and is capable of producing drastic effects in our attention, memory, sense of time, and many other things.
However, research in the field has a problem: available face databases have few different individuals, are not in color, vary immensely in variables external to the face itself, among other problems.
Thus, we launched this crowdfunding effort to allow our team to photograph at least 1200 individuals under the same photographic circumstances. Without YOUR help, it will be impossible to fulfil this goal. The more the amount raised the more places we will be able to visit, both in Portugal and abroad!
To all researchers, students and professors that used or will use faces for their research: join us! With a little contribution you will help produce the biggest standardized face database in the world, a database that you will then be able to use in all eternity free of charge!
