"A smile makes a difference", this project was created with the aim of improving the facilities of the Social, Recreational and Cultural Association “To the Meeting of the Roots". Being a non-profitable funds over the years has been constantly degrading. This being based in the social district of its county and its target audience being mostly the children and young people of these housing constantly makes the economic, social / cultural difficulties remain. There is a need, "obligation" to implement this project!
This project consists of painting the installations internally and externally, as well as graphing the ASRC logo "At the Meeting of Roots" in two of the walls abroad for a better visibility of the existence of this, since 1988.
The request of this project is based to promote a paradigm of education and social intervention acting in proper conditions, having a direct action always guided by the principle of educability simultaneously strengthening the safety and health of all institutional members.
Children and young people with daily complications at the family, school, social and cultural level who need to provide them smiles on their faces with what little we can. "There is no clearer revelation of the soul of a society than the way it treats its children (Nelson Mandela)”, a happy child enjoying intensely every moment of life and your smile on his face turns a contagious joy.
The association's mission is to provide in all possible times a smile for every child! Intending them to feel affection and protection.

The Social, Recreational and Cultural Association "To the Meeting of the Roots" is based in the county of Lousada, in the Bairro Dr. Abílio Moreira, Block D, Arcas.
The institution works on the needs and problems of its most deprived residents in its various fields, children and young people in danger, unemployed active working adults, the community at large. Currently the area of intervention is not limited to the geographical area of the social district, but also to the neighboring parishes.
Social responses: Free Time Activities Center (CATL) for 60 children and young people (aged 6 or over, attending the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of schooling) and the Community Intervention that supports approximately 150 families and the community in general through specific Information / Orientation activities, Sociocultural Animation, Attendance / Social Monitoring.
In short, the institution represents the social fabric of a nuclear social response, responding to the education and protection of children and young people contributing to their improvement of the quality of life, promoting social well-being and inclusion. And supporting the family and the community in general through specific activities of Information / Orientation, Sociocultural Animation, Attendance / Social Monitoring and Food Aid.

Brings together efforts to provide quality and safety services, continuously improved in the areas of Children and Youth, Family and Community in order to achieve the highest satisfaction of the needs and expectations of their users / customers.
