The main objective is to collect 1000 € to help the movement "Social Kitchen - The Other Human" in its operations supporting the refuges in Lesvos, Greece.

The refugge crisis is something about us, Europeans, and we feel that it is not fair that a small territory like Lesvos, with its own problems, difficulties and needs, to go forward with the reception of thousands of refuggees without a huge external support.

About the author

Jorge Simões and Margarida Trindade are two persons that were in lesvos last september for a european activity project. In the oppoortunity they took in touch with the reality that the island is facing nowadays and the intervention of Social Kitchen movement. They decided that they can also do something to help, besides being far away from Lesvos at the moment. So they are giving information to their own community about what is happening in Lesvos and mobilizing efforts to promote a fast and direct support to the situation.

    Bom dia! Antes de mais agradecer a todos o apoio à campanha #torresnovaslesbos. 1000 € para a linha da frente de apoio aos refugiados. Não atingimos o objetivo definido mas o montante recolhido será efetivamente transferido para a organização Cozinha Social “O Outro Humano, em Mitilene, Lesbos.
    No caso dos apoiantes que não selecionaram o apoio como condicional, terão de solicitar a devolução do montante através da plataforma PPL, de acordo com as instruções que já vos enviaram. Caso ainda pretendam mobilizar este montante para a causa, agradeço que me enviem mensagem (salgado_simoes@yahoo.com) para que nos articulemos de forma a incluí-lo no montante da transferência a efetuar.
