Suffering a Head Injury or Brain Damage and living with its sequels does not have to be experienced alone.

A again is the ONLY institution in Portugal in support of severe traumatic brain injury and their families, also covering other acquired brain damage.

Who does not know who has suffered traffic accidents, falls, roadkill or aggression, leaving marks for life? These are some of the reasons why there are on average 15 severe cases / day of head injuries in the country.

Since 2010 again is the only answer for more than 500 families in continuity, whom life seemed to have turned the other way around. Continued support given includes:

  • House adaptation
  • Juridical support
  • Technical aids (diapers, wheelchairs, wanderers)
  • Emotional support, strategies for managing the new situation
  • (Re) Labor market integration
  • Referral to Partners

For this support to reach more families in the first half of 2020, we need € 18,000.

Giving Tuesday ( https://www.givingtuesday.pt/ ) - the largest solidarity movement in the world - will have the great opportunity to support these families so often forgotten by society.

This year's Giving Tuesday is celebrated on December 3rd, which is also the International Day of People with Disabilities, such an important date for the beneficiaries of again. Join us and start donating now!
