In the book "Crónicas de outro tempo" (Chronicles from another time) I revisit childhood episodes, enriched with fables from a village in Bairrada during the 60s/70s of the last century. In one of them, grandfather Leodoro, who had a gassed lung in the war removed, would transform into a werewolf on full moon nights and roam the county in the company of strange creatures that we don't see in daylight. I thought it was strange for grandpa to get up without grandma Laurita noticing, and grandma Maria do Céu explained to me that werewolves have a pact with witches who appear at midnight, mounted on brooms, and fly over grandma saying "I bless you for Beelzebub with my ass diapers"... and she doesn't wake up.

During the confinement of the pandemic, the architect Luís Silvestre read the chronicles and illustrated them, inspired by the stories of another time he did not know.

About the author

Alda Matos, I published two books during my professional activity at the Caixa Geral de Depósitos Studies Office on Economics topics. The three books (already written) that I will publish are completely different. The first of "Chronicles from another time" includes episodes from childhood/youth. Later I intend to publish other chronicles of three years of cooperation in Angola (book 2) and exemplary stories dedicated to my children (book 3).

Architect Luis Silvestre read the first book and valued the content written with illustrations, which are worth bringing to the attention of readers.

Budget and due dates

Luís de Matos Silvestre - 2,100 euros equivalent and 3 months of part-time work during the confinement of the first quarter of 2020;

Text treatment (and inclusion of illustrations), designer Bruno Gião - 250 euros;

Typography for the production of 200 copies - 1,000 euros

Advertising, postage and others - 150 euros.

Budget: 3500 euros

Note: No reward is given for writing. The result of the crowdfunding is awaited for 2 months to process the text with the illustrations and deliver it to the printer.
