Humanitarian trip to help refugees in Serbia / Croatia / Slovenia / Austria. Purpose: to bring together a volunteer caravan.

Paulo Leão, also a father of two small children, have participated in the 1st Caravan Famílias como as nossas organized by Nuno Felix, I can not sit still!

I will return to the sensitive areas, where “Famílias como as nossas” fleeing war to countries that are clearly on safe ground.

Departure: 11/16/2015 | Destination: Serbia / Croatia / Slovenia / Austria

The mission:
- Bring donations (clothing and toys) to refugees in places with poor service.
- Provide volunteer service where the required NGOs with local action.
- Bring one or more "Families like ours."

To do this we rely on volunteers who wish to integrate this 2nd Humanitarian Caravan"Families like ours".

I created the crowdfounding to raise money for the purchase of materials needed forhumanitarian aid to refugees. After contact with ONG's that are on the ground, we willsurvey the needs, and we will try to provide the necessary.

About the author

Paulo Leão, 44, father of two small childreen, and committed to help refugees.

Board member of the recently created non-profit association 'Families like Ours'.

Owner of CENTRAL MENSAGEIRO, LDA and CENTRAL MENU.

By integrating the first caravan "Families like ours" promoted by Nuno Felix, I had the opportunity to make contact with the sad reality of war refugees.

Despite helping by working in field (Opatovac - Croatia), and helped transporting a Syrian family to Portugal, when I saw the news about the increasingly difficulties for refugees, and having found that most are families with small children. I decided I had to come back!

It is imperative to help refugee families!

Budget and due dates

The daily expenditure of each volunteer will be safeguarded by himself - food and stay (average 50€ / day) - 7-10 days of travel.
The crowdfounding serves to:
Participate with 500€ (fuel and tolls) for each car caravan. Corresponds to 50% of expenditure for each vehicle. It is estimated that the total expenditure per car is 1,000€.
Remaining funds will be for the purchase of materials needed for humanitarian aid to refugees. After contact with NGOs that are on the ground, we will survey the needs, and we will try to provide the necessary.
