After 37 years of spreading the art of stillness across the five continents, the Statue Man returns home with the idea of having the works of living statues that he has discovered around the world at the International Museum of Living Statues. Support him!
António Santos aka Staticman, a pioneer in the art of living statues since 1987, after a 37-year career and 6 world records, decided to propose the use of the abandoned Pisões primary school to create the Statua International Museum of Living Statues. This proposal was unanimously voted on by the Assembly of the Union of Parishes of Pataias and Martingança and on September 22, 2024, the Statua International Museum of Living Statues was inaugurated, also with the agreement of the Alcobaça City Council. The museum opened with an exhibition centered on the work of Staticman and also with 15 international works. The goal is to grow the international section and more works are arriving at the Museum every day. The first room and some exterior decoration have been completed, now we need the second room to present the international works and continue the improvements to the rooms and exterior and interior decoration. For this we need the help of everyone, private individuals and companies. From the purchase of mannequins and other materials to painting, decorating, furnishing and restoration work on the interior of the building, as well as the maintenance of the works on display, everything involves expenses. This campaign is exactly what it is for.
By contributing to this project, you are also valuing the memory and the present of one of the most present street arts in the world. Support according to your means and make this innovative museum your home.
Long live art! We are counting on you!!!!
