Hello, I'm Rui Pedro, I'm 24 years old, I'm from milheirós and I have a genetic disease, called DMD, with no cure. I am federated by FCPorto in Boccia mode, I am graduating in Accounting and Administration at ISCAP. In the current house, I find myself without space, in the passage to my room I knock a lot of times with my feet on the door, because it is narrow, I got hurt several times, on November 20, 2020 until I broke my tibial dish. I don't have an adapted toilet, so I have to keep the wheelchair in the corridor, my mother has to hold me, the toilet door is also narrow. As I am a person who totally depends on my mother for everything, she is running out of strength to have to carry me on her lap. The ideal would be to have a crane to facilitate transfers, but this is not possible because the house is small. Furthermore, my parents are in the process of divorce, I have until the end of the year at the latest to leave this house. I am currently a federated athlete at FC Porto since 2016 in the bocce sport. My first contact with boccia was in the 5th year, due to the need to carry out some activity in the Physical Education class at the time I thought it was a joke, who would say that my future would go through that same modality. I like to compete and I enjoy socializing with my colleagues. Since I started playing I am much happier and it is in training that I take the stress off.
