The funding sought here is intended to equip students of the School with necessary tools at the informatic level which make it possible to better perform in their school activities and promote greater openness to the Community.

This is a citizenship campaign for solidarity. The EPTPP students are young boys and girls from poor families to which seeks to provide the best working conditions, which is not always possible, given the difficulties of funding that the Formation Entity cyclically crosses and that does not allow to provide the best equipment for the teaching and learning, hindering the performance of each young person in their training/qualification. Be sympathetic to these EPTPP students is to help form best young, more included in society and better prepared to work and develop their future in a pleasant way.

With the result of this campaign, the Promoter Entity may equip a room with 14 computers and their peripherals, with updated software and specific to their learning.

Also with this initiative the Promoter Entity may invigorate new technologies in school, promoting the training and computer literacy among all members of the school community and its partners, with highlight to parents, users from partner institutions, placing at the service of the community the investment made in the acquisition of equipment. It will also help to support institutions and small businesses around to perform with quality their business meetings providing the technology acquired through this platform.

About the author

A promoter is a group of members of the school community that integrates trainees, teachers and members of the Formation Entity Committee, which is the Psychosocial and Technology Professional School from Porto.

The school lives with huge financial scarcity and need to resort to the initiative of its students, directors and teachers to cope with the enormous difficulties of their everyday life. The students come mostly from families with financial difficulties to which it is not possible to charge any money for educational services provided. Works with funds from the European Social Fund which essentially serve only to ameliorate the expenditure on subsidies for students and payments of fees to teachers and other employees and other fixed costs.

    Os utilizadores são alunos cuja maior parte tem contacto com estes equipamentos apenas na Escola dada a debilidade económica das suas famílias. Merecem assim a oportunidade de trabalhar com melhores máquinas que lhes proporcionem uma mais eficaz aprendizagem. As melhores máquinas existentes neste parque informatico são PIV com maximo 3Mb de memória RAM e 100Mb de disco
    Merecem um esforço da nossa parte.
