Donation to INEM for a geolocation system in its helicopters
The supporters of this collaborative financing project are proposing to collect € 500 to be donated to INEM so that it can place a GPS geolocation system on all land and air vehicles at its service (helicopters and ambulances) to speed up the location and the occurrence of accidents with these vehicles.
The amount requested (500 euros) should fund a year of a system such as that of www.cartrack.pt in the 3 helicopters operated by INEM and in at least two more VMER that this public institute chooses to receive this pilot project.
This Crowdfunding project is linked to the petition:

In the case of the accident with the helicopter of the INEM of the Mountain range of Valongo a system of these would have:
1. prevented the two hours that were between the accident and the beginning of the searches
2. allowed remote and automatic identification of the occurrence of an accident
3. Indicates real-time location and online map of each vehicle
4. and would allow the presence of a "panic button" on the vehicle
A system of these costs about 10 per month per vehicle or helicopter: if purchased in scale, the price could be even lower, having as a counterpart an immense increase in the effective use of the means of Civil Protection and INEM and in the identification of accidents with the same ones a faster activation of the distress.
