The "Colour Fest - Giving wings" will take place on 6th June. Its aim is to raise funds to the education of children and youngsters at risk of dropping out of school through an innovative and adapted teaching/learning method.
MACA believes and considers that an adapted education is fundamental. An education that focus on the individuality of each student, using innovative methods and diverse tools. Education promotes, develops, empowers, creates… It helps to live, cooperate and take part in society.
MACA wants to contribute to ensure equal educational opportunities, reduce school leaving, as well as promoting education for excellence.

About the author
Movimento Associativo Cultural Maca is a non-profit association under non-governmental organization status (NGO) established in 2008.
The objectives of this association are to create the difference through cultural diversity and innovative projects, strengthen the concepts of sharing and socializing, as well as strengthening humanitarian and socially responsible character.
In 2014 it was created the Department for Education, Development and Health at Guarda city.
The main project of this department aims to contribute to the education and training of capable and aware persons, with civic and participatory democracy notions. Additionally , the project is based on values such as responsibility, autonomy, cooperation and solidarity.
Budget and due dates
The event costs will address dissemination activities, promotional materials and merchandising, products for the activities (food products, ink, scenery paper, pens, pencils etc.), logistics.
Funds raised at the event will help us to initiate activities, including screening and assessment of families and students, support networks, elaboration of intervention plans and implementation on the field.
The deadline for the raising of 500€ is June 5.
