This project aims to raise funds for remodeling the Day Center of Tercena and equip it with decent conditions adapted to the needs of the senior community of Barcarena.
After 37 years of daily activity the center is outdated once it was intended for a less dependent senior community. Now, trying to adapt the center to a increasingly dependent community we are trying to raise awareness of all people to the importance of our Day Center.
We should not forget that we are facing an increasingly aging society and maybe one day we will need some kind of support and these kind of equipment is very importante to assure quality of life to the senior community once in many cases it is the second home of many users.
This one is in Tercena but could be anywhere else. Needs are the same!
And life takes many turns!

About the author
Centro Social Paroquial de Barcarena was founden in 1967 as a response to social emergency situations resulting from the floods of the Barcarena stream.
Since that time our institution is working in varied social areas aiming to make sure that nobody is in a social emergency in our locality. Our main focus is to assure the improving living conditions mainly of the needy families and social groups.
We are always with you, no matter what comes!
Budget and due dates
The money we need must be raised till the beggining of the next year and will be a really important contribution for making possible finish the improvement of our Day Center. The money will be also used to to buy modern and comfortable equipment to our Day Center as well as helping to finance the inclusion of an elevator/lift that will facilitate the movement of users within the Day Center.
