We always dreamt of building a truly INCLUSIVE space and in 2018 we set out on the biggest adventure of our associative history: we started to build CADI!

CADI - Inclusive Arts and Sports Centre aims to be a multipurpose space, open to the community and dedicated to the practice of inclusive activities in the areas of sport, education and culture, and it is already under construction in the city of Braga. Located in the heart of the city, CADI will be made up of spaces for sporting and recreational activities, sensorial stimulation rooms, promotion of literacy and stimulation of education through art, promoting the integration of disabled people in the community through the creation of inclusive activities. It will be an urban space prepared for reduced mobility, which will also serve as a home for youth, cultural and sports associations - which will be responsible for the daily dynamization of the square and existing equipment, encouraging sports practice, stimulating culture and inclusion through the promotion of activities for all.

In addition to the construction of the CADI, it will be carried out the requalification of the outer space through improvements in the existing ring and playground, the integration of equipment adapted to people with reduced mobility, the creation of spaces for outdoor physical activity, green spaces and a space for senior citizens and people with disabilities.

This project aims to establish itself as a place to promote sport, culture and social inclusion, a space without barriers, of all and for all. 42 associations and more than 3000 users with special needs and / or reduced mobility are involved in this project.

The cost of building CADI and equipping it in terms of materials / equipment is very high and we, as a non-profit association, have been seeking help in a number of ways. We got the support of the Braga Municipal Council, but we still need financial support to complete this great work. For this reason, we decided to launch this crowdfunding campaign.

About the author

SYAJ - SYNERGIA Youth Association aims to carry out and promote activities of an (inter)cultural, social, educational, sportive, recreational, artistic and health promotion nature, aimed at a mainly young population, extendable to children and adults in general, senior citizens and people with disabilities, contributing to the effective improvement of the quality of life of the population. Headquartered in Braga, SYnergia was founded in 2004 and is made up of a multidisciplinary team of proactive and enterprising young people.

At SYnergia we seek to value youth, sports and social culture, challenging everyone to join us. We are involved in several projects, with the support of countless volunteers, who bring us what they know best. We also encourage the in-service training of all team members and try to work on several fronts, taking as main responsibility the integration of all young people, with special attention to those who normally have more difficulty in accessing the activities.

Among our projects, we highlight the creation of the Interpretive Center for Environmental Education in Braga, the TOCA space, the implementation of the 'Entrepreneurship without Borders' project, the Braga Sports Medicine Center and the SYnergia Academy.

At the international level, in addition to working under the ERASMUS + programs and the European Solidarity Corps, we have been working in Cape Verde, on the island of Santo Antão since 2017, where we have created a community development project.

Budget and due dates

The purpose of this crowdfunding campaign is to raise the value needed to acquire sound equipment and sports equipment to be used at the Inclusive Arts and Sports Centre.

Sports equipment (steps, mats, weights, balls, etc.) - 1000 €

Sound equipment - 3000 €

PPL Commissions - € 406.55

Total: € 4407

CADI's inauguration is scheduled for August 2019. We hope to raise all the money we need to equip the space. We start with this campaign that, if successful, will already give us great help!
